Andvertising definition and meaning

Andvertising is a portmanteau – a word created by blending two words to form a new one.

It was coined by Ron Anderson, former vice chairman of one of the industry’s largest holding company agencies.

The godfather of Minneapolis advertising often said:

“It’s easy to make strategic messages.”
“It’s easy to make creative messages.”
“But making messages that are both one and the other?
“Well, that isn’t easy.”
